Isabel Salomons is Chief People Officer at Quooker

As Quooker continues to accelerate its global growth, Isabel Salomons safeguards the human side of the organization. She is committed to preserving the warm, people-focused company culture that remains deeply embedded despite rapid expansion. This approach enables Quooker to continuously attract new talent and valuable experience.

“The growth we are experiencing creates countless opportunities for our employees.”

"A great deal has changed during the ten years I have worked at Quooker, and at the same time, nothing has changed," says Isabel Salomons, who joined Quooker in 2015 as HR Manager.

"Back then, we had around one hundred employees. Today, we have surpassed one thousand when including all our international colleagues. We have grown tremendously, but what has never changed is the atmosphere. The Quooker vibe, as we call it, has always remained. The social, human, and personal aspects are incredibly important here. The fact that I have now joined the Executive Management Team as Chief People Officer reflects that commitment."

Focus on the Individual "We have always been a company that takes good care of its people and values individual attention," Isabel explains. "We provide thorough onboarding and create many opportunities for colleagues to connect. As a result, people quickly feel at home within the organization. We invest in employee well-being through healthy lunches and a vitality calendar filled with activities. We also give people opportunities to grow and develop. Precisely because we have become much larger, we can now offer even more career development opportunities. That makes Quooker a very exciting and rewarding place to work."

A New Direction In the autumn of 2025, Quooker entered an important new phase. Former CEO Walter Peteri stepped back, and a new CEO was appointed from Denmark. "Jakob Kragh's mission is to accelerate Quooker's global growth," Isabel explains. "He has defined a very clear strategy in which the human aspect remains essential. If we ensure that Quooker continues to be a fantastic place to work, we can retain the talented people we already have. At the same time, we can attract the talent and experience we need now and in the future. We offer exciting opportunities both for young professionals and for people bringing valuable international experience."

An International Mindset Under Jakob Kragh's leadership, English has become the working language at the Executive Management Team table. For Isabel, this feels like a natural development. "We are no longer a Dutch company with offices abroad; we are a rapidly growing international company. That creates exciting opportunities for our employees. It is entirely conceivable that, in the future, a service technician from the Netherlands could spend two years working in Spain if they choose to do so."

A Proud Milestone Isabel describes her appointment as Chief People Officer and her seat at the executive table as "a fantastic achievement" for two reasons."I have been with Quooker for almost ten years and have helped build the company, step by step, into what it is today. That has been a wonderful journey. My current role feels like the culmination of that work. The fact that the position of Chief People Officer exists at all confirms everything I have worked towards over the past decade. It sends a clear message: people are at the heart of this company. They are what make Quooker successful. And that makes me even prouder."
