Poland is ready for Quooker too
In April 2025, Quooker Poland officially launched. Since most people in Poland are still unfamiliar with the boiling-water tap, there is plenty of work ahead for country manager Agnieszka Cegła.

When Agnieszka Cegła was approached by a recruitment agency, she had never heard of Quooker before. “But once I started learning more about the company and the product, I quickly became fascinated. Friends often say: you could sell anything — but that’s not entirely true. I can only sell something if I genuinely feel something for the product, if it really speaks to me. That’s exactly what happened when I first saw a Quooker dispensing boiling water.”
“When I later heard the story of Henri Peteri, who invented Quooker, I was completely convinced. In the 1970s, you could hardly get anything in Poland — my parents once waited an entire month for an orange. The thought that, at that same moment, someone in the Netherlands was working in his basement on inventing a boiling-water tap was unbelievable to me.”
A promising market According to Agnieszka, all signs point towards a successful introduction of Quooker in Poland. “The economy is doing well. People have more purchasing power, which means the market for premium products is growing. You can see it in everyday life, even in the cars on the street. There is also more money available for kitchen appliances.” “At the same time, people’s mindset has changed somewhat because of the war in Ukraine, which feels very close to home. People think: we don’t know what tomorrow will bring, so let’s enjoy life now.” At the moment, however, Quooker is still completely new to the Polish market. “Right now, the most important thing is educating people about what Quooker is and what it can do.” Agnieszka has no doubt that Quooker will become successful in Poland. “Cooking and eating together are very important in Poland. We eat a lot of potatoes and soup, and we rank fourth in Europe when it comes to tea consumption. So Quooker will be a great addition for many households.”
The architecture market The first steps in the market have already been taken. The Polish website is live and the first social media posts have been published. “Next week, we have two events planned for potential customers. These are mainly retailers selling kitchen appliances. Kitchen dealers — where customers buy an entire kitchen and all accessories in one place — are less common here.” Agnieszka is also focusing on the architecture market. “Many Polish people have gained more purchasing power but have less time available, so they increasingly hire architects who also design their kitchens.” At the moment, Agnieszka is still working alone, but her first colleague — a service manager — will soon join the team. “That’s how we are building Quooker Poland, step by step. I’m really looking forward to it!”
