Internship Materials Science

  • On-site
    • Ridderkerk
  • €600 - €600 per month
  • Internships

Your role at Quooker

  • You’re eager to take responsibility for improving the quality of our products.

  • You keep investigating until you can back up your findings with results.

  • You enjoy working with data and spotting ways to improve its quality.

This is what you’ll do as a Materials Science Intern

We use several welding processes on the production line for our water tanks. Sometimes, discolouration appears around a weld. This may indicate changes in the material, but what does it tell us about corrosion resistance?

During your internship, you’ll investigate the relationship between visible weld discolouration and corrosion resistance. You’ll analyse different welds and determine when discolouration does or does not pose a risk. Your findings will help Quooker make better decisions about which welds pass inspection on the production line.

These are the employment benefits

  • An internship allowance of €600 gross per month for a full-time internship.

  • A laptop.

  • The option to work from home one day a week, provided this fits with that week’s activities.

  • Free fresh fruit every day and a healthy, affordable lunch in our company restaurant.

  • Through the Quooker well-being programme, you can join activities several times a week directly after work, such as yoga, bootcamp, padel or a Bob Ross-style painting workshop.

  • A focus on your personal development.

  • A challenging, international learning environment that encourages you to work independently and take responsibility.
