The Quooker Meeting is the key moment to catch up
Three times a year, all Quooker employees come together for the Quooker Quarterly Meeting. Here, the most important updates within the company are shared with everyone. The drinks afterward serve an equally important purpose.

Sales figures from the past three months. Research projects from the R&D department. Progress on the construction of the new company building. A wide range of topics can be covered during the Quooker Meeting. “It depends on what’s going on at the time,” says Walter Peteri, owner of Quooker. “Sometimes there’s exciting news about a new product. Other times we video call with a country manager to hear how things are going in places like the UAE or the UK. Or someone from HR talks about the training calendar. We also introduce new colleagues and celebrate anniversaries. After the meeting, everyone is informed and you can really feel the sense of connection.”
A family feeling “In the early days, when we were still a small company, we would have a drink together on Friday afternoons and catch up,” Walter explains. “Everyone knew exactly what others were working on. Now, with 600 people in the Netherlands, that doesn’t happen naturally anymore. While that feeling of ‘we’re in this together’ is so important. I want everyone to feel involved, like part of a family, sharing pride in what we create. That’s why, about seven years ago, we started organizing the Quooker Meeting. At a fixed moment, we bring everyone together. In the production hall, which is transformed into a kind of theater with a stage and spotlights, we share all the key updates from across the company.”
Catching up over drinks The meeting itself is meant to inform, but Walter finds the social gathering afterward just as valuable. “A good atmosphere at work is very important to me. People should feel comfortable,” he says. “The drinks are a great opportunity to get to know colleagues better. I always hope people from different departments connect and ask each other what they’re working on, but also how they’re doing and what their weekend plans are. That’s how you build familiarity, making it easier to approach each other at work, ask for help, or exchange ideas. I’m a big believer in that. That’s also why my door is always open. Anyone can walk in at any time. In that sense, nothing has changed since the early days when Quooker was still a start-up.”
